Once used, used paper becomes a raw material for making new paper. Recovered paper generated at home is collected by local governments for resource recovery, PTA, neighborhood associations, children's groups, etc., and is collected by collection companies at offices and other places where large amounts of recovered paper are generated. The collected recovered paper is pressed into a rectangular shape weighing approximately 1 ton and stored. It is then transported to paper manufacturers where it is transformed into new products.
